Age Management Medicine:

 

Dr. Gittelman has special training in the field of age management medicine designed to evaluate and treat the entire patient in a preventive fashion. Dr. Gittelman and the Team at Optimal Health Miami have special staff and equipment to address the hormone, mineral, and nutrient balance. Dr. Gittelman and the team will help to design hormone programs, fitness programs, vitality programs, and weight loss programs. The goal is to prevent disease and optimize current wellness.

Academics:

 

Dr. Gittelman completed his doctorate degree and training at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City where he received numerous honors in clinical rotations. He was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and completed his Chief Residency at Mount Sinai in New York. He received his undergraduate degree from Tufts University with Summa Cum Laude honors and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Society. Dr. Gittelman served as Clinical Assistant Professor in the department of Medicine at the University of Miami for 6 years teaching and training medical students at the University. He is frequently invited to lecture physicians around the country at a variety of Universities and Medical Conferences and also in many community settings. Dr. Gittelman is the direct and founder of South Florida Medical Research and Optimal Health Miami. He is also a director and co-founder of Uro-medix, his clinic for the practice of General Urology.

 

Research Activity:

 

Dr. Gittelman founded and developed South Florida Medical Research, an internationally well-known research center where he has directed over 350 clinical trials in an effort to further research and develop new medications in the field of Urology. Prior research has included involvement in pivotal clinical trials submitted to the FDA with virtually every medicine for prostate enlargement, urinary incontinence, and sexual health. Some of the products he has contributed to the research and development include; Viagra, Levitra, Cialis, MUSE etc. Dr. Gittelman consults with numerous biotech companies in ongoing efforts to develop new and better medications in the fields of Prostate Cancer, Erectile Dysfunction, and in the fields of Men’s and Women’s Sexual Health.

 

Patient Education:

 

Dr. Gittelman is proud to have served as a columnist for the Miami Herald for 4 years during which time he wrote a column on general urological topics as well as sexual health. Dr. Gittelman founded the Miami Center for Sexual Health, one of the first institutions in the country to provide a fully integrated approach for patients' sexual health problems.
